After a bit of digging around online I found a great LP I knew I had to have! Best part is it was delivered today, Christmas Eve.
Had the great opportunity to film Grayson Capps and the Lost Cause Minstrels at Pirates Cove 12.21.12. Also, fortunately, the world did not end 🙂
What an amazing show! I cut a quick edit of the song ‘mermaid’, the day after to share w/ the band, to give them an idea of the footage. Turns out they posted the link. lol thanks Chad. Footage could certainly use some polishing but since its already making its rounds, I thought I would share with all of you.
Though the video can still be found, I decided to pull it from my website.
Maybe I should start numbering episodes? I have the 11.11.12 concert from Blue Moon Farm cut and ready to go. What an amazing show! But then dont we say that about every show?
And remember. Consider donating to the project. This is such an amazing venue, please help me continue to document these artists coming together.
This first video is just a snippet from a song, but I really wanted to share it.
Helms Place. Wow, just wow!
Did you survive? I’m pretty sure we barely made it out alive. Somewhere along the way though, I got some great pictures! These are a few, for a look at the adventure in more detail click HERE.
Some of you may remember my school boy excitement from several months ago when I met Mr. Cliff McCrath. aka Nubber! You can read that post here “YOU know Chase Jarvis?“. Turned out Nubber was also a pal of Chase’s. One of my favorite photographers, Chase Jarvis, does this bit called cjLive where he chats with others, helps to promote artists, and educates the rest of us along the way. A few weeks back he sat down with The Lumineers. If you haven’t heard of them, click the link and check them out! Funny how this broadcast with people coming out of Seattle, Washington ends up crossing my path in Gulf Shores, Alabama. Well, I bumped into The Lumineers while shooting The Hangout Music Festival on the beach and wanted to send a message to Chase!!
You can also see the Hangout stills HERE.
Good to go! All four days of the festival are up and ready.
Originally I planned to share images and post to local groups but decided to expand since I’ve had so many people asking to see pictures or where they can buy them. I know personal & commercial licensing etc but who wants to get mixed up in those details!! In the spirit of the laid back “be nice or go home” attitude that we adopted for the festival, I’ve decided to make it easy.
$2 and you’ve got a digital download that you can email, post to your facebook, or share on your blog!
As always, send me an email! Say hello. I love hearing from people all over.
Enjoy, and leave me some feedback! Let me know what you guys think of the pictures and what you most enjoyed about the festival.
